RDF Developer Tools

NAVTEQ welcomes developers using our Relational Database Format (RDF) to the NN4D’s new RDF Developer Tools section. Here, you will find a variety of scripting tools, software, and other ‘accessories’ to extend the capabilities of RDF… and hopefully, enhance the value you find from the NAVTEQ map.

The RDF Developer Tools section will also serve as a resource for RDF developers to exchange ideas with each other and NAVTEQ. This will help NAVTEQ and our developer community to better innovate and improve the solutions we bring to our shared customers.  This begins with the interactive forum below,  but we have plans to expand this section of NN4D to allow our developers, partners, and value-added resellers to submit their own open source RDF tools and samples of commercially-driven RDF extensions.

Please take advantage of the initial tools we are offering, and don’t hesitate to contact us with your ideas and suggestions for future additions to the RDF Developer tools section.

Tools

RDF Selection Clipper (Beta)

The RDF Selection Clipper creates sub-regions or "clips" of the NAVTEQ map based on administrative regions. It contains both SQL scripts and metadata tables necessary to perform this data clipping.

RDF Clip2Schema

Clip2SChema is an extension to the current RDF Selection Clipper toolkit that creates a view for each RDF table, and filters the clipped data. It creates a new RDF database schema that (virtually though the use of views) contains
only the clipped data.
